Is there a physical restraint component to MindSet?
Certification in part two of our curriculum includes training in physical containment techniques, which are reserved exclusively for situations where individuals face imminent danger. These techniques encompass a continuum ranging from the least to most restrictive measures, emphasizing horizontal containment under strict guidelines. Horizontal containment, a floor-based technique, is designed not to impede breathing or apply direct pressure.
At MindSet Safety Management, we do not authorize prone or supine restraints under any circumstances. Our techniques are crafted to ensure safety for individuals of all ages, prioritizing their well-being. We teach these techniques strictly as a last-resort intervention in emergency scenarios and for minimal durations. Restraint is never employed to enforce compliance, administer punishment, or modify behavior. It is strictly a safety protocol intended to protect individuals and others involved.

No. At MindSet, our aim is to establish a systemic and sustainable approach that transcends mere management. We collaborate closely with our partners to challenge and transform climate and culture across diverse settings, striving to successfully develop alternatives to aggression and violence.
We believe that effectively managing crisis situations hinges on staff members prioritizing safety above all else. By adopting a proactive approach, organizations can significantly reduce the occurrence of crises. This approach underscores our dedication to promoting positive outcomes and cultivating a culture of safety and support across all partnerships.
